Quick answers
I changed a price. Do I need new labels?
No. The QR code on a label points to the item, not to a price. Anyone who scans it sees the price as it is now, and the counter bills it at that price. Print new labels only if you chose to print the price on them.
A label won't scan
Hold the phone 10–15 cm away, in good light, with the whole QR code in view. If the code is smudged or torn, open the item in Tagiora and print a new label: the code stays the same. If labels print faint, the print head may need cleaning, or the printer's darkness setting raising.
Labels print too small, cut off or across two labels
In the print window, set the paper size to your label (for example 50 × 25 mm), margins to none and scale to 100% ("Actual size"), not "Fit to page". On a label printer, run its own calibration once after loading a new roll, so it finds the gap between labels.
The receipt is too wide or too narrow
On the bill, choose the 80 mm or 58 mm receipt to match your printer's paper, and set the printer's paper size to the same width.
The internet stopped at the counter
Bills can't be saved without the internet for now; the Android app will work offline. Keep a paper bill book for those moments, or share your phone's hotspot with the counter computer.
How do I give a customer their bill?
Print it, or send the link on WhatsApp from the bill's page. The link opens the customer's own copy; share it only with them.
Can I use Bluetooth headphones and a Bluetooth printer together?
Yes. A phone can be connected to both at once. A Bluetooth printer, though, talks to one phone at a time: if several phones in your shop print, a Wi-Fi printer is easier. See Suggested printers.
Use Tagiora like an app
Add Tagiora to your phone's home screen: it gets its own icon and opens full screen, without the browser's address bar.
- Android (Chrome): open app.tagiora.in, tap ⋮, then Install app (or Add to Home screen). Or open Tagiora's menu (☰) and tap Add to home screen.
- iPhone (Safari or Chrome): open app.tagiora.in, tap Share (the square with an arrow), then Add to Home Screen. Sign in once more inside the home-screen app.
Hardware: what you need
Tagiora is made for phones. You bill, scan and print from your phone; a computer is optional. You can start with nothing new:
- Labels: print on A4 sticker sheets (40 labels a sheet, 48.5 × 25.4 mm) on the Wi-Fi office printer you may already have: almost every Wi-Fi printer sold today prints from both iPhones and Android phones. Or use a label printer with rolls of 50 × 25, 50 × 30 or 38 × 25 mm labels.
- Bills: print on an 80 mm or 58 mm thermal printer, or skip paper and send the bill on WhatsApp.
- Scanning at the counter: use the camera button on the counter page, on any phone, or a 2D barcode scanner. On iPhones and computers the camera reads Tagiora's QR labels; to scan the barcodes printed on packaged goods there, use Chrome on Android or a scanner. Tagiora's labels are QR codes: a 1D "laser" scanner can't read them. A 2D scanner also reads the barcodes already printed on packaged goods.
Printing from a phone
- Android, today: install the free RawBT print app from the Play Store. Chrome can then print Tagiora's bills and labels to a Bluetooth, USB-cable or Wi-Fi thermal printer. Bills print well; try your labels on your printer before relying on it.
- iPhone, today: an iPhone prints from the website only to AirPrint printers: most Wi-Fi office printers (for A4 sticker sheets), but almost no thermal printers.
- The Tagiora phone app, coming: it prints straight to the printers below over Bluetooth or Wi-Fi, on Android and on iPhone, with no extra app.
Bluetooth headphones and a Bluetooth printer work together: a phone can use both at once. But a Bluetooth printer talks to one phone at a time. If two or more phones in your shop print, choose a Wi-Fi printer: every phone on the shop's Wi-Fi can use it.
What to look for in a printer
- Labels and bills in one printer ("2-in-1", "label + receipt"), with a gap sensor so it stops between labels, and 3 inches (80 mm) wide: it fits our 50 mm labels and 80 mm bills. A 2-inch printer cuts off the edges of 50 mm labels.
- Bluetooth, ideally "dual mode" or Apple-certified (MFi) so iPhones can use it too.
- Wi-Fi if more than one phone will print.
- USB (USB-C is best) for charging, and for printing by cable from an Android phone or a computer.
- A battery, if you'll carry it around the shop.
Suggested printers
Printers that work with Tagiora's labels and bills, cheapest first. Portable printers run on a battery; counter printers stay plugged in; desktop label printers (4-inch) print the best labels and can print bills on a plain roll, though each bill comes out the same length.

* iPhone: with the Tagiora phone app. From the website, an iPhone prints only to AirPrint printers; of these, only the Brother RJ-3250WB has AirPrint. "Not stated" means the seller doesn't say; it isn't a no, so ask. "?" means the listing doesn't mention USB. Printers with only USB suit a shop with a counter computer, or an Android phone on a USB cable.
Our picks
- Trying Tagiora with Android phones: Xprinter XP-P323B (portable) or ATPOS AT-602 (counter), about ₹7,000. Print from Tagiora today with RawBT.
- iPhones, or a printer that mustn't let you down: Zebra ZQ220 Plus, about ₹22,000: Apple-certified, labels and bills, made for daily use.
- Several phones sharing one printer: a Wi-Fi model: #4, the Wi-Fi XP-P323B or the Wi-Fi Bixolon.
- Many labels every day: a 4-inch desktop label printer with Wi-Fi or a network cable (TVS LP 46 Dlite, Zebra ZD230 or TSC TE210). Send bills on WhatsApp, or use a second, bill-only printer.
- iPhone printing straight from the website, today: only the Brother RJ-3250WB, and it is expensive.
Prices are what Indian online stores and dealers listed in September–October 2026, mostly including GST, before delivery. Amazon offers change daily, and dealer prices may not include GST. Confirm the price, warranty and exact model (which connections it has) with the seller. We don't sell printers and get nothing from these stores.
Paper and labels
Thermal printers need no ink or ribbon: they print on heat-sensitive paper. Buy direct thermal labels and receipt rolls.
- Labels: 50 × 30 mm direct thermal labels cost about ₹205 for 1,000, roughly 21 paise a label.
- Receipt paper: 80 mm × 50 m rolls cost about ₹694 for 10. One roll prints about 250 bills, roughly 28 paise a bill.
- Match the roll's width and core size to your printer, and keep labels away from heat and sunlight: thermal print fades.
Before you pay for a printer
- Ask for a demo that prints a Tagiora QR sticker and a bill from your own phone, through Tagiora.
- Scan the printed QR sticker with a phone: it should open the item's price at once.
- For labels: check it stops at the gap between labels, and prints on the label size you'll buy.
- Check which connections that exact model has (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, USB), the warranty, and where it gets repaired.
