Privacy notice
Last updated 11 October 2026
This notice explains what personal data Tagiora holds, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. It is written for shop owners and their staff, and for shoppers who scan a Tagiora label or open a bill link.
Who we are
Tagiora (tagiora.in, the Tagiora app and the QR labels it makes) is run by Algosena, a proprietorship, 6-2-775/1/A/9, Nalgonda, Telangana-508001 ("we"). You can reach us at the contacts at the end of this notice.
Whose data, and our role
- Shop owners and staff. We decide how your account data is used, so for it we are the Data Fiduciary under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
- Shoppers. Tagiora doesn't ask shops to record shoppers' names or phone numbers: a bill holds what was bought and how it was paid. If a shop types a shopper's details into Tagiora (say, in a payment reference), we hold them for that shop and use them only to run Tagiora for it. Questions about that data go to the shop first; we'll help the shop answer.
What we hold
- Your account: your name, email address, the shops you belong to and your role. Your password is stored only in a scrambled form (a one-way hash) that nobody can read back, us included.
- Your shop: its name, address, phone number, GSTIN, UPI ID, receipt footer and settings.
- Your shop's records: items, prices, photos, stock, batches, offers, bills, payments (how and how much, plus any reference you type), returns, day closes, and a history of who changed what and when.
- Sign-in and security: your IP address and browser details when you sign in or use the app. We use them to limit repeated sign-in attempts and to look into misuse. Cookies are used only to keep you signed in and to protect forms: no advertising or tracking cookies.
- Label and bill pages: anyone who scans a label or opens a bill link sees that page; we don't ask who they are. Like any website, our servers note each request (IP address, time, page) for security.
Why we use it
To run Tagiora for your shop (labels, prices, billing, stock, receipts), to keep accounts and shops secure, to help when you contact us, to meet legal duties such as keeping tax records, and to improve Tagiora using totals that don't identify anyone. We don't sell personal data, and we don't use it for advertising.
Where it is kept, and who helps us
- Servers: Amazon Web Services in Mumbai, India.
- Cloudflare delivers our pages securely (traffic passes through its network) and stores item photos.
- Email and text-message providers deliver the messages we send you, such as sign-in codes and notices.
Each of them gets only what its job needs. We share personal data with anyone else only when the law requires it, or when you ask us to.
How long we keep it
- Account and shop data: while your shop uses Tagiora. When you ask us to delete it, we do so within 2 days, except what the law makes us keep.
- Bills and returns: as long as GST law requires shops to keep them (currently 72 months after the due date of the annual return for that year), unless your shop has exported them and asks us to delete them.
- Security records of sign-ins and requests: up to 90 days.
- Backups roll over on their own and are gone within 3 months.
Your rights
You can ask us for a summary of the personal data we hold about you, to correct or update it, or to erase it (apart from what the law makes us keep). You can withdraw consent where we rely on it, and nominate someone to act for you if you can't. If you're unhappy with how we handled your data, tell our grievance officer (below). If we don't resolve it, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
How we protect it
Encrypted connections (HTTPS) everywhere, scrambled passwords, each shop's data kept apart, bills that can't be edited after the fact, limits on sign-in attempts, and regular backups. Only the people who run Tagiora can reach the servers, and only to keep the service working or to help you when you ask.
Children
Tagiora is a tool for businesses and is not meant for anyone under 18.
Changes
When this notice changes, we update the date at the top. If a change matters, we tell shops before it takes effect.
